Your home must be treated all three times regardless of whether you have observed cockroaches or not. The treatment does not cause unpleasant smells and it is safe for humans and pets. However, humans and pets must not stay in the home during the treatment itself, and you must wait 20 minutes after the treatment is completed before re-entering your home.
It is essential that Absolut Pest Control has access to all homes within the specified time period. If you cannot be home yourself, please make sure someone is there to let us in. The key could possibly be left with a neighbour or a caretaker or maybe it can be placed in a caretaker mailbox.

Information on cockroaches
Cockroaches live where it is dark, and they prefer a humid environment. This is why cellars, outbuildings and bathrooms are good habitats for the cockroach to live in, mate and produce more cockroaches. However, this does not mean that cockroaches will not seek out drier places.
Cockroaches can roam far in a property, and they have no trouble migrating at night, making it easy for them to find new places to live which may provide greater sources of nourishment. Scent trails and pheromones summon other cockroaches, and this normally happens through a secretion in their droppings. In this way, they follow each other’s trails and popularise new areas to live, should they prove lucrative for food.
Cockroaches breed by laying eggs. It takes about 2 to 6 months for cockroaches to reach full maturity, depending on the temperature conditions. The optimum temperature for cockroaches is about 25 degrees, but they still seek towards cool, dark places to reside in during the day. Cockroaches are normally seen at night, as this is when they become active, search for food and breed.
The spread of cockroaches in Denmark is mainly passive, and is done via goods and packaging, but they can also easily spread throughout properties by gaining access via inlets for heating, electricity and ventilation. Cockroaches can damage foods by gnawing at it or contaminating it with their droppings, spreading the unpleasant smell that cockroaches carry. Their great potential for reproducing and preference for living in the dark make them hard to control. It doesn´t help that cockroaches are one of the species that quickly develop resistance towards insecticides.
It is important to clean thoroughly before the treatment; and maintain a high standard of hygiene in order to get rid of the problem.
